Simon and Patrick SP-6 Cedar and Mahogany Reviews 5

Drove to Surrey British Columbia and bought the guitar at Long & Mcquade Limited. I did a lot of research on the net. I lioked all the guitars by Godin from Quebec Canada as they ahve lots of good wood there.Seagull,Simon and patrick,Norman,Art & Lutherir are made there in same factory. I met a professional musican Russell Marsland who helped me pick this instrument out. There was about 150 guitars to play all prices and this guitar was 399.00 CDN.

This guitar has a real deep sound if you drum on the top. Cedar top has real tight grain, and is obviously old wood. Sounds and plays as well as guitars costing 3 times the price. I fell like I stole it. Nice tone that is mellow, it would be nice for intimate settings. Guitar is pleaseing to the eye has laquer not that plastic you see on so many guitars.

nothing!!

The guitar has a mahogany back and sides wich is three ply. The top is select book matched cedar.Neck is mahogany with rosewood finger board and bridge.Real wood rossette inlaid in top, nickel silver frets. Truss rod is adjustable both ways, guitar has a compensated saddle so is in tune all over the neck. It is well made no excess glue in side.Looks like a hand made.

I did a lot of research, Bottom line Quebes Canada is flush with great wood. This allows them to make great guitars. If they came down here and saw what yur can buy for the same money, they could easily charge twicxe as much. There product is amaging for the money.
